#25. How to Reinvent Yourself: Manuela Powell, 46

Quote saying to be mindful of judgments you're making and instead focus on something positive

Blind or toxic positivity is never the goal. We’re talking about being intentional and trying to see things in a new light.

What do you want? Manuela Powell asked herself that very question and then totally disrupted her life. We talk about:

  • How her life changed at 39 when her mom came to visit

  • A recent solo adventure she challenged herself to do

  • How awareness is the first step toward shifting a spiraling mindset

  • What happened when Manuela finally started making time for conscious decisions.

Manuela Powell is a life coach who helps people change their minds in order to change their lives. For over 17 years, she was a cancer surgeon, in Brazil and in the US, at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. After becoming a mother at 42, she craved more flexibility, freedom, and time with her family. So she put away her scalpel to start operating deeper in the psyche, beyond the physical body. Manuela is obnoxiously happy with her new life, and thrives on guiding others in their own reinvention.
